Coulee Collaboration Award
"Food For All" Project

The Franke Foundation announces the $100,000 grant competition for one 501(c)(3) organization who, in collaboration with other for-profit, non-profit, governmental, social, school or other qualified organization(s) develops a comprehensive and workable plan toward eliminating food-insecurity in La Crosse County, Wisconsin.

Letters of Intent are due:
March 31, 2013

A detailed agenda for the Coulee Collaboration Workshop is now available:

Bob Franke was a resident of La Crosse, Wisconsin. Bob lived the 91 years of his life in the home in which he was born. He and his wife, Eleanor, left an estate of more than $20 million, which has become the fund base for the Foundation which bears their names.

The Foundation is a non-profit Wisconsin corporation located in La Crosse, whose purpose is to support the La Crosse Community Foundation, Mayo Clinic Health System-Franciscan Healthcare and the Diocese of La Crosse. A portion of the earnings of the Foundation are undesignated and are available for distribution to IRC Section 501(c)(3) organizations throughout the Greater La Crosse area through grant applications which are available on this site, upon request.

Take a few moments to consider the Frankes' history and you will begin to understand the kind of people they were to leave such a legacy for generations to come!

2ND ANNUAL CARE & SHARE EXPO

Our 2nd Annual Care & Share Expo took place on December 1st at the City Brewery Hospitality Center in La Crosse.

The Franke Foundation works to encourage non-profit organizations to join forces, communicate, learn about each other, share information and work together to create the greatest organizations possible to provide services for our La Crosse County citizens in need. It is also our mission to educate the public and make them aware of local Non-Profit organizations so they can get help or learn how to help.

In 2012 we matched Care & Share Expo donations up to $1,000 for each of the 25 participating non-profit organizations.
